Royal Bank of Canada's London office at Riverbank House, Swan Lane, is home to a large team of dedicated professionals who provide valuable local knowledge, the advantage of a truly international team of specialists, and access to a complete range of wealth management services through its global network of offices.
With any major global brand, the offices also act as a showpiece for visitors. As such, the boardroom and presentation areas must be stylish and sophisticated, but also functional.
To enable RBC to use space flexibly, sometimes opening up the boardroom and presentation room for larger conferences, then sub-dividing them into smaller meeting areas, a solution was required that would be as stylish as it was practical.
Working with contractor, ISG, and architect, Pringle Brandon, Style was appointed to install its Skyfold vertically rising moveable partitioning wall in each room.
By selecting the Skyfold Classic Elite (Rw 56dB) for both walls, Style more than met RBC's acoustic requirements whilst providing a fully automatic, turnkey solution that maximises space by being housed in the ceiling. This makes the most efficient use of space as no wall pockets are required.
Rooms can be reconfigured in minutes and because there is no manual intervention whatsoever they are exceptionally durable and long-lasting.
"Skyfold has become a hugely popular system for the major corporates," said Efrem Brynin, Style's Skyfold Product Manager, "because it sub-divides space with such finesse as well as being silent and effortless to operate.
"Matching the interior design of the offices was important to RBC, and we achieved this with a stunning fabric finish in the boardroom and a special RAL 9010 colour steel finish in the presentation room.
"This was another outstanding installation, and when architects, contractors and end-user clients see Skyfold in situ it is hardly surprising why specifications are soaring."
