Moveable wall laminate finish offers high antibacterial efficacy

Independent testing of the antibacterial effectiveness of Style’s moveable wall range will be a real boost of confidence to architects, specifiers and contractors creating flexible space in public areas.

With the UK gradually re-opening in line with each nation’s roadmap for lifting lockdown, the safety of public space has never come under greater scrutiny.

According to Andy Gibson, Style’s director for the North, the recent laboratory tests carried out on the laminate used in Dorma’s moveable walls will be seen as a huge positive as they reveal a high degree of effectiveness as an antibacterial finish.

“Containing the spread of the virus is at the top of everyone’s priorities and part of that is to make indoor environments as safe as possible,” said Andy.

“As a result, the melamine resin-coated products and composite elements (HPL) used on Dorma Huppe’s moveable walls have recently been tested by Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH & Co. KG and their antibacterial effect has been proven.
