Style Achieves IMS Accreditations

2011-06-08

Style has achieved certification of the three ‘gold standards’ demanded by many major contractors and clients as part of an Integrated Management System (IMS).

As a result, The Style Group now holds accreditations for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

“We’ve been working to these standards for some time,” explained Andy Gibson, Style’s Director for the North, “which was why we decided to make a formal application for accreditation. “IMS is an all-encompassing process that interrogates and audits our systems and procedures to ensure unification and compliance.
“As well as acting as an inspection process, it therefore also added a great deal of value to our business by enabling us to identify areas for further improvement. As robust processes and strong working practices ultimately benefit the architects, specifiers, main contractors and clients who we work with, we believe that achieving these accreditations is an important achievement and will further support our reputation as a very high quality specialist in the operable walls sector.”
