Style’s working walls a feature of the UK’s Best Workplace

This year’s best UK Workplace has been awarded to Adobe who partnered with Gensler to create a space that would 'sync' their key brand qualities and inherent creative nature.

The accolade was awarded by Tech 2020 and Style was proud to play its part in this project by helping to make the work environment as flexible as possible.

“First and foremost, we’d like to congratulate Adobe and Gensler in creating an award-winning workplace,” said Style’s group managing director, Julian Sargent. “These offices are truly inspiring.

“Our role in this project was to help generate an adaptable working environment and to achieve this we used a combination of moveable wall systems to create the solution that Adobe desired. 

“This includes a Skyfold, vertically rising, fully automatic 55dB acoustic moveable wall, a semi-automatic DORMA Huppe double-glazed 50dB acoustic operable wall, and our highly unique ‘working walls’ system, specifically designed for collaborative workspace.

“Designed and developed exclusively by Style, the working wall is a cluster of individual moveable wall panels that can be used in isolation to create one simple screen, or pulled together for a wider temporary wall.

“Very simple to operate, and with each panel acting as a magnetic white board on one side and a fabric which allows notes to be pinned to it on the other, they can be moved into place, locked, and pivoted as required.

“It means they can swivel during breakout sessions to share ideas with adjoining groups during brainstorms or impromptu gatherings.

“By choosing a configuration of Skyfold, Dorma Huppe and our working walls not only gives Adobe real freedom to use their space as they see fit, it also adds a real ‘wow’ factor to this stunning office.”

The award-winning building in Shoreditch has a free address system allowing people to work anywhere and at any time, 'neighbourhoods' based on office roles which allow staff to be mobile, yet still feel connected. Bright open areas and bench style seating provide teams with the choice to work together, socialise or retreat to quieter spaces for individual work. Industrial accents such as mesh ceilings, timber floors and metal factory doors keep the space in tune with the building, while soft touches celebrate their new creative location.
