Hospitality sector – have your moveable walls serviced before the busy Christmas period

2019-10-28

With Christmas parties starting as early as the end of November, Style is advising hotels and other event venues to have their moveable walls serviced in readiness for the hectic festive season.

Andy Gibson, Style’s director for the North says, “For any business in the hospitality industry, we’re soon entering into the busiest and most profitable season of the year.

“Many venues maximise their revenue through flexible space, opening up rooms for larger events, but using their moveable walls to divide space into two or more rooms to maximise revenue by running multiple events concurrently.

“If a moveable wall fails to move into position, or a member of staff struggles to open it, this can become extremely stressful. For this reason, we’d recommend that, if you haven’t had your moveable or folding wall recently serviced, now is a good time to do so.”

According to Andy, moveable walls need routine servicing, just like cars, to ensure their long lasting, smooth operation.

“In the same way that a car needs routine servicing to give years of trouble-free motoring, a moveable wall needs a regular inspection and service to minimise potential downtime, preserve the wall’s acoustic integrity and help you comply with health and safety regulations.

“We have a national service and aftercare team, operating from our 4 regional offices which means there are Style technicians local to you wherever you are in the UK.

“Our service contracts include regular maintenance visits, during which our engineers will inspect, clean, lubricate and adjust all mechanisms and components in accordance with best practice. We can also replace any damaged or worn parts to avoid any recurring problems turning into serious issues.

“Over and above our service contracts, we also offer an emergency repair and breakdown service which includes repairing partitioning walls that Style didn’t originally install.”
