Style’s flexible space helps maximise ‘room hire’ revenue

An increasing number of businesses that generate revenue from room hire are using moveable walls to maximise their income.

Mike Fine, Style’s director for the Midlands, says that companies, conference facilities, community centres, training centres, village halls, churches and other organisations that hire out room space are driving up their annual revenue by being able to alter the use of space based on different bookings each day.

“We have seen a significant rise in the number of moveable wall installations where the purpose is to increase room hire bookings,” said Mike.

“Recent examples where the aim has been to make space more flexible and adaptable include moveable wall installations at Coneygear community centre in Huntingdon, the Food Works in Weston Super-Mare and Wellington Place in Leeds - all of which offer very different room hire solutions but seek to maximise their revenue.

“Thanks to the wide range of moveable wall solutions available, businesses can choose between fully automated systems that reconfigure room space at the push of a button, through to simpler manually operated folding walls.

“In addition, thanks to the very high acoustic ratings on many of our moveable walls, companies can quickly divide a larger room into one or more smaller rooms, and events or meetings can take place undisturbed either side.

“We also offer glass solutions with privacy blinds, an extensive range of finishes to complement any interior design, and magnetic writable white board finishes so that the moveable wall can be used for brainstorming, meeting notes and training.

“Pass doors are incorporated, which means when the operable walls are in place the area looks and feels like any other room. In fact, in many cases you wouldn’t realise the wall was moveable.

“It’s for this reason why we are seeing a significant rise in the number of installations where businesses can enjoy the flexibility of hosting, for example, a major event in the morning followed by 3 smaller ones in the afternoon.”
