At SharkNinja’s offices at the iconic Battersea Power Station in London, Style worked with Bowman Riley architects, and contractor, Ben Johnson Interiors, to create flexible space within the meeting and demonstration rooms. 

In the café and meeting area, Style installed a Dorma Huppe Variflex glass moveable wall to create a large private meeting space. To enable this meeting area to be further divided into two smaller rooms, Style added an additional Dorma Huppe Variflex solid wall.

This very chic solution offers a perfect complement to the interior design of the office, and the impressive acoustic ratings of 55dB on the solid wall, and 52dB on the glazed system, provides exceptional privacy when the café is busy. The semi-automatic operation of both operable walls means that the acoustic seals are applied to the correct pressure with less risk of poor manual handling.

In the demonstration room, a manually operated folding wall was selected, offering a simple, yet highly effective solution for dividing the space into two as and when required.

“This is a great example of how different types of moveable walls suit different requirements,” said Michael Porter, Style’s group sales director.

“As a key area for gatherings and meetings, the combination of the glass and solid Variflex systems was perfect in the café area as it gave an open plan feel, and a very stylish design, while also offering the practicality of being able to create adaptable meeting rooms when required.

“In an area such as this, the top end acoustic ratings are important to ensure meetings can be held undisturbed, whilst also offering an open plan, visible feel thanks to the main glass moveable wall.

“In the demonstration room, the requirement was very different and the folding wall was just what was needed to create simple space division.”
