Filshill in Scotland chooses
Skyfold to divide meeting room
Filshill is a wholesale convenience business that delivers to over 1500 customers across Scotland and the North of England.
Deliveries are routed to match all their customer’s needs and are typically made within 24 hours of order, and their aim is to ensure that all customers have the correct stock so that they can run their own business as smoothly as possible.
Working with Clarks Contracts and Glasgow architects, C2 Concepts, Style was specified to install two Skyfolds to divide the meeting rooms at Filshill’s new distribution centre in Renfrew.
Skyfold is the highly innovative, vertically rising moveable wall which is discreetly housed in a ceiling cavity, therefore out of sight and taking up no floor space at all when not in use.
Descending gracefully at the push of a button, this fully automatic moveable wall has an impressive 51dB acoustic rating ensuring meetings can take place undisturbed either side.
By installing two Skyfolds, Style gave Filshill the flexibility to create three small meeting rooms, have one large and one small room or open up the whole area into a larger meeting space.
Thanks to the ease and speed by which the Skyfold can be lowered into position, the room configurations can be quickly changed depending on numbers during the day.
“The Skyfold moveable walls have made our flexible 3-2-1 meeting space a reality”, said Andrew Allison, business improvement manager at Filshill. “In fact, as well as being highly effective at dividing space they add a bit of ‘wow-factor’ to the room, especially when they descend into position from the ceiling.”
Angela McGowan, sales director for Style Scotland, added, “Skyfold is a very impressive automatic moveable wall. This meeting room is relatively small, however Skyfolds can be used in much larger areas too with high ceilings, making it a very versatile solution for creating flexible space, and as well as the corporate sector it has been extremely popular in schools, colleges and universities at dividing stepped lecture theatres into two separate rooms.”
Style is the exclusive UK partner to Skyfold, as well as for Dorma Huppe and SWG.
