With over 110 years’ experience, Knight Frank provides its clients with global coverage via 417 offices and over 13,000 people throughout Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas, focusing on all the prime residential and commercial property markets of the world.

At its Baker Street offices in London, Style worked with architects, Arcademy and fit out and refurbishment experts BW Interiors to deliver a flexible room configuration in Knight Frank’s 6th floor executive dining area.

DORMA Variflex was chosen as the best solution; a versatile moveable partitioning wall system which is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Completed in a stunning Andrew Muirhead fabric finish, and delivering phenomenal 57dB acoustics, this offers the perfect balance between practicality and panache.

In addition, Style installed a flush telescopic panel. This provides a completely flush finish along the wall, with smooth lines and a solid wall appearance.

“As well as enabling Knight Frank to quickly create 2 separate dining rooms, or open the area into one larger space, the Variflex complements the very chic interior design of this executive dining room perfectly,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director.

“The 57dB acoustics mean, when closed, there’s privacy between the two rooms and the flush telescopic finish ensures the wall is highly discreet when moved into its stacking area.”

Style is the exclusive UK partner to DORMA, and the Variflex range includes acoustic moveable walls up to 21m high. The panels are manufactured separately to the frame, which means it has interchangeable panels which are easy to change if one is damaged or scuffed, or the interior design of a room changes later on. It also holds an environmental product declaration (EPD) in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804.
