UBM is one of the world's leading business-to-business (B2B) events organisers, and is the company that owns Barbour ABI – well known in the construction sector as a prominent provider of construction intelligence and lead generation services.

Working with Gensler architects, and Swift Refurbishments, Style was specified to create flexible space in the company’s main presentation room retaining as much light, and a feel of spaciousness, as possible.

DORMA’s Moveo Glass moveable wall system was used to surround 3 sides of the meeting room, allowing it to turn into a full open plan space when required, or to seal off the area by creating a corridor.

To further divide the space, a fully automatic solid Moveo moveable wall in a white laminate finish was positioned in the centre of the room enabling it to be converted into an additional two meeting rooms at the push of a button. See video>>

“Moveo is a superb, and very popular, moveable wall system and the combination of the glass and the solid automatic wall resulted in a highly practical and stylish solution,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director.

“Fully automatic systems are growing rapidly in demand, as they remove all human intervention which minimises the chance of operator error or damage through poor handling of the panels.

“Certainly, in our minds, the future will move swiftly to automated systems as the benefits are so strong.”

Style is the exclusive UK partner to DORMA, Skyfold and SWG and 8 times winner of the coveted FIS Contractors gold award – an annual honour presented for the best operable wall installation in the UK.
