Wembley Stadium’s Atrium suite allows for flexible configurations of tables and seating in an area that is easily transformed to allow anything from a theatre style meeting, an exhibition or classroom set up, to a workshop.

With easy access into the room from the concourse, The Atrium can be used either on its own, or in conjunction with the players’ lounge and to achieve the flexibility of opening up both suites into one expansive area, or dividing them into two separate rooms, Style worked with architects, KSS and contractors, Portview, to install a Dorma Huppe Variflex moveable wall.

Finished in a metallic high-pressure laminate on grey MDF, the Variflex’s pattern was laser cut into each panel to create a design resembling the pattern on a football.

As an additional feature of the room, when the wall is not in use rather than it be stacked away it slides alongside a fixed wall so that the stylish design can still be enjoyed as a key feature of the suite.

“To be specified for an installation at Wembley Stadium was a real thrill,” said Michael Porter, Style’s sales director for the south, “and there was some innovative thinking involved in the pattern of the panels and deciding to use the wall as a design feature even when it isn’t in use.

“It also goes to show how important flexible space is to any business that generates income from room hire because the greater the adaptability the more options you have for hiring the space.

“For the staff at Wembley Stadium, this room can be reconfigured quickly and easily thanks to the effortless manoeuvrability and smooth operation of the Variflex, and thanks to the inclusion of a pass door staff and guests can move easily from one room to the other.”
