As part of housing developments in the town, Dorset based developer Wyatt Homes built Wimborne Town Football Club (WTFC) a new facility providing two pitches, spectator stands, a club house and parking.

The new facility provides two pitches and spectator stands to FA standard and the new clubhouse allows the club to properly cater for community events.

A key part of that is the main function room which can be divided in two, to provide greater flexibility and opportunity for hire by community groups or by individuals for private functions.

To create this flexible space, Wyatt Homes commissioned Style to install a DORMA Huppe moveable wall with manual operation.

Delivered in a pearl grey laminate finish, the operable wall offers an impressive 46dB acoustic rating allowing events to take place either side of the wall undisturbed – or for the room to be opened up into one large conference area.

“As a company whose head office is in Dorset, we were very proud to be chosen for this project which is of such importance to the local community in and around Wimborne,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director.

“The Dorma moveable wall is a superb product, offering smooth and effortless operation enabling it to be opened and closed with ease.

“Thanks to its excellent acoustic rating, concurrent events can take place either side which is really important to a club like Wimborne for maximising the revenue it can earn from its space.

“It opens up so many opportunities to rent out the space and use it for a wide variety of functions and gatherings, and the pearl grey laminate finish was a perfect complement to the room.”

As part of the unveiling of the new facilities, local man Harry Redknapp attended a tour of the football club which is being heralded a really important development for the club and community.
