A Newly Flexible Main Hall
Instantaneous Layout Changes
Like many community centres, Stowford Rise Community Centre is used for a multitude of activities, from yoga to a children’s crèche.
Working with architects, Nils Westman, and contractors, Henry W Pollard & Sons, Style was appointed to create a flexible space in the main hall so that it could be sub-divided for smaller, concurrent events whilst also enabling the entire hall to be used as a complete open space.
With budget being an important criteria, Stylefold 120 was chosen. As an easy to operate, low cost solution, it was finished in a stylish timber veneer and provided a 44dB Rw giving important privacy between rooms when closed.
“This is an excellent example of how we can deliver an outstanding partitioning wall solution to a small community hall, enabling them to maximise their room hire income and optimise the use of space,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s managing director.
“Stylefold is a terrific and practical acoustic folding wall, and to enable access between rooms when closed it has an integrated pass door as standard. The timber veneer blends perfectly with the wooden floor, and it is extremely simple to manoeuvre which means it can be moved in and out of position with ease, changing the room layout in an instant.”
