A Truly Flexible Space
A Touch of Panache
New North London Synagogue is based in the North West of the City, with a membership of 2,500 including more than 1,000 children and young people. In addition to Shabbat and festival services, the Synagogue engages in a wide range of educational, social, cultural and social action activities.
With a listed boundary wall and positioned next to a manor house (also listed), the Synagogue is in a beautiful location neighbouring the lawns of the Sternberg Centre and Scheduled Ancient Monument. In order to divide the Beit Knesset and Beit Tefillah areas of the synagogue, Style was appointed by Allenbuild Construction’s south east office, working alongside Architects, Rosenfelder Associates.
DORMA Variflex with its 50dB acoustic rating was selected as the most suitable folding wall option, finished in a stunning booked matched quarter cut American Oak veneer.
With two separate areas being divided utilising a total of 35 individual panels forming various configurations and alternative positions the Synagogue now enjoys true flexibility of its space, as well as a touch of panache.
Julian Sargent, group managing director of Style said, "This was a very special project to work on and we were extremely pleased to have been selected."
“Our track record of delivering extremely high quality moveable partitioning wall solutions has seen specifications soar, and architects, specifiers, contractors and end-user clients value the investment we have placed in our products, people, systems, processes and the added value that we always bring.”
