Established in 2005, CEMAR combines industry-leading knowledge and expertise to make sophisticated contract management simple. As an international company CEMAR offers a state-of-the-art, cloudbased administration support and contract administration product to companies in the construction sector.

At its offices in Gloucestershire, CEMAR’s desire was to create flexible space in a large ground-floor meeting room as part of a refurbishment project. In doing so they would have greater flexibility to divide the area into two separate meeting rooms, or open it up for larger gatherings, presentations and as a general break out space.

A core challenge, however, was that there was no structure in the ceiling for the folding wall system, and some lateral thinking was required to find a solution.

As a result, a Stylefold 120 folding wall system was chosen as this was the only operable wall that could realistically accommodate the room structure.

To install the Stylefold 120, a non-structural timber frame was created for lateral support and the weight of the folding wall was transferred to the floor via a surface mounted floor track.

The ability to do this is unique to Stylefold, offering Style Partitions yet another point of difference.

“We’re very proud of our ability to work with clients to overcome complications in room structure and design, and develop a solution that works perfectly for them,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director.

“On this occasion, we had excellent dialogue with CEMAR who organised for the timber frame to be built enabling us to install the folding wall using a floor track, rather than the traditional ceiling track.

“The final installation not only complements the room’s interior design with a white melamine finish, but also offers 46dB Rw acoustic integrity and a pass door for room access when the wall is in place.”

Style is the multi-award winning, market leader in moveable partitioning walls. With 4 regional offices across the UK and a showroom in London, the company specialises in creating flexible space across a broad cross section of sectors including corporate, hospitality, religion, education, local authority and healthcare.
