Statkraft has been making clean energy possible for over a century. Today, they are Europe’s largest renewable energy producer and a global company in energy market operations.

With 5,700 employees in 21 countries, the group produces hydropower, wind, solar, gas-fired power and supplies district heating.

At its offices in Glasgow, Style worked with architects, Graven, and contractors, Ashwood Scotland Ltd, to create flexible space in the company’s meeting room.

As this area also serves as a relaxation zone for employees to enjoy a game of pool during their breaks, Style was specified to install an acoustic moveable wall so that the meeting space could be sectioned off from the pool room.

A Dorma Huppe Variflex glass moveable wall was the ideal solution, offering semi-automatic operation and a 52dB acoustic rating. This ensures that meetings are not disturbed when staff are on their break.

By choosing a glass moveable wall meant that maximum light could flood through the room, however by adding a manifestation gave the required level of privacy. The anthracite panel frames then offered the perfect addition to the interior design of the room.

“This is a superb solution for this versatile space,” said Angela McGowan, regional sales director for Style Scotland, “as it enables Statkraft staff to very quickly divide the room into two or open up the entire space.

“The 52dB acoustic rating of this exceptional operable wall means meetings and gatherings can take place either side without causing any disturbance to one another, and the semi-automatic operation ensures the acoustic seals are applied to the correct pressure every time the wall is in use.”

Style is the UK’s market leading moveable, folding and partitioning wall specialist and the exclusive UK partner to Dorma Huppe, Skyfold and SWG.
