In need of an extension and fast track refurbishment, Style was appointed by Dolman Surveyors to work with contractor, Gaiger as part of this important, and high profile, project in the local area.

Flexible space was of paramount importance in order to open up the teaching areas or sub-divide them into individual classrooms, and before deciding on the best option the school reviewed some of Style’s previous installations such as Kiwi School (Stylefold 120) and Wootton Basset (Dorma Variflex).

Stylefold 120 was selected as the best option, and Style worked closely with all parties to deliver a solution that was easy to manoeuvre, economical, aesthetically appealing and provided the desired level of privacy when closed.

Stylefold 120 was selected as the best option, and Style worked closely with all parties to deliver a solution that was easy to manoeuvre, economical, aesthetically appealing and provided the desired level of privacy when closed. “The folding partitioning wall met the school’s requirements perfectly,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director.

Stylefold 120 has always been popular with offices, schools, nurseries, hospitals, leisure centres and hotels because it provides a continuously hinged sliding folding system which can either be top hung where structural support is available or floor supported on a low profile bottom track.

“It also comes in a range of finishes that are durable, easy to clean with flame retardant options. It is backed by a 2 year warranty.”

Style has extensive experience of working on projects within the education sector, and the company’s track record was a significant contributor to being specified for this project.

“The level of specifications we are receiving in education is soaring,” said Julian, “and I put this largely down to strong word-of-mouth as architects see case studies of previous schools, colleges and Universities that we have worked on.”
