Working directly with the museum during its £5 million renovation and extension programme, Style was asked to not only provide flexible space within the museum’s conference and meeting rooms, but to relocate a moveable wall system that Style had installed many years previously.

The moveable wall being repositioned was a DORMA Moveo system in a dark wood veneer finish. Style matched this by providing the same product and finish for the new installation.

As a semi-automatic wall, Moveo is quick to operate, lightweight and versatile whilst providing acoustic integrity of up to 55dB Rw. It is also highly durable and robust, as demonstrated by its ability to be relocated to another part of the building after years of constant use.

“It’s a very good example of Moveo’s longevity that we were able to relocate it,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s group managing director. “Our aim, when installing any moveable partitioning wall, is that customers will enjoy many years of use from them. We help to ensure this is the case in a number of ways.

“First and foremost, we only supply the very best range of products which cater for every requirement and budget. These are products that will always be fit for purpose and, as a result, have the potential to last up to 25 years or more.

“We also offer a proactive servicing and scheduled maintenance service, which protects our customers’ investments by addressing any potential problems early."

“Finally, we offer some products with panels manufactured separate to the actual partitioning wall system. This means if individual panels are damaged they can be changed without affecting the rest of the system, or the panels can be replaced if a room’s interior design changes.”
