As a store that is beautifully designed, when it came to sub-dividing space to create a private meeting area, Style was appointed directly to offer a truly stunning solution, in keeping with the rest of the decor.

DORMA Varitrans Compactline was selected as offering the most elegant, but practical, solution. With its horizontal, bespoke profiles and continuous glass frontage (without visual interruptions) all functional elements are invisibly integrated in the profiles.

Each element interlocks with the engagement of profile floor pins for excellent anti-lever/jemmying protection and a pass door was provided which closes seamlessly into place with the rest of the wall.

“To fulfill Fritz Hansen’s design requirements, and match the rest of the store, the track fixings were left exposed which complemented the other features and ducting within the shop,” said Julian Sargent, Style’s managing director.

“Whilst this moveable wall comes in either a manual or fully automatic version, we recommended manual operation on this occasion. In addition, the client was able to add a very simple, but classy manifestation of the store’s logo across the glass.”

Style is the sole UK distributor for DORMA moveable walls, and the Varitrans Compactline comes as standard with aluminium profiles anodised to give an E6/C0 finish, however RAL colours are available on request.

“We were delighted to have been approached directly by this very prestigious London store, and were proud to deliver a partitioning wall system that met all of their criteria, including operation, practicality and budget. But, most of all, this was a breathtaking addition to the overall room design offering the client a meeting environment whilst maintaining the visual impact of the showroom,” concluded Julian.
