At Adobe’s new London offices in Shoreditch there is open plan space, with meeting rooms, social hubs, a library, tech café and games room. The layout provides a fluid working environment, meant to spur new ideas and unexpected collaborations.

Creating modern workspace for the world’s best-known brands requires innovative solutions and clever use of space. That’s why architects Gensler chose Style, the UK’s leading moveable wall specialist, to deliver Adobe’s vision, working with contractor, Como.

“We used a combination of moveable wall systems to create the flexible working environment that Adobe desired,” said Style’s group managing director, Julian Sargent. “This includes a Skyfold, vertically rising, fully automatic 55dB acoustic moveable wall, a semi-automatic DORMA Moveo double-glazed 50dB acoustic operable wall, and our highly unique ‘working walls’ system, specifically designed for collaborative workspace.

“Designed and developed exclusively by Style, the working wall is a cluster of individual moveable wall panels that can be used in isolation to create one simple screen, or pulled together for a wider temporary wall.

“Very simple to operate, and with each panel acting as a magnetic white board on one side and a fabric which allows notes to be pinned to it on the other, they can be moved into place, locked, and pivoted as required.

“It means they can swivel during breakout sessions to share ideas with adjoining groups during brainstorms or impromptu gatherings.

“By choosing a configuration of Skyfold, Moveo and our working walls not only gives Adobe real freedom to use their space as they see fit, it also adds a real ‘wow’ factor to this stunning office.

“With a chic finish on the Skyfold, a cool and vibrant mix of colours on the working wall and a sense of light and space created by the Moveo glass system, but with a delicate manifestation added afterwards to offer privacy as well, this is a truly breathtaking project that we were proud to be part of.”
